Thomas Floden (back) has succeeded as an early-stage entrepreneur. Now, he is gearing up for growth together with Kristian Pedersen, who has been hired as a co-developer.
"The dream has always been to be able to work with what I love doing."
That is what Thomas Floden, last year's winner of the StartUp Festival's entrepreneur award, says.
His digital tool, Loppii, was named "Entrepreneurial Idea of the Year in Romerike." With Loppii on their mobile phones, users can perform authenticity assessments and get value estimates for collectibles such as Pokémon cards, watches, coins, LEGO, or vintage cars.
"Entering the competition for Entrepreneurial Idea of the Year is one of the smartest things I've done. I've had an exciting year since then," says the hardworking entrepreneur.

Thomas Floden will attend the award ceremony at Business Lillestrøm on Thursday, October 22. There, he will talk about his exciting journey over the past year.
From zero to two employees
"The network I gained through the StartUp Festival has been very important," he says.
In addition, business has been going well.
"Yes, I've officially hired myself as a product developer – for three different projects," he laughs.
And now he has doubled his staff. Kristian Pedersen is on board as employee number two. He comes from the security department at Telenor, where he worked with AI.
Upgrades and new products
The Loppii platform is now out in version 2.0.
"It is built around the original core, but it has become much simpler and more user-friendly," says Floden.
Over the past year, he has also developed new products. One of them is Axisos, a digital platform for planning and designing event spaces, which has, among other things, led to a successful partnership with Nova Spektrum.
– Submit your entrepreneurial idea
Thomas Floden encourages entrepreneurs to join the competition for Romerike's Entrepreneurial Idea of the Year. He has never regretted doing so:
– For me, the StartUp festival was an eye-opener – and a door-opener.
