Security and Preparedness

Security and preparedness are not built through technology alone – they are built through collaboration.

In the Oslo region, we work systematically across public authorities, research environments and industry to address complex security and resilience challenges. This Eco Governance approach connects strategic priorities with operational needs, turning ambition into practical capability.

Our visits are carefully curated to ensure relevance and mutual interest. Engagements are developed in dialogue with potential visitors to explore alignment in priorities, context and level of ambition.

The Security and preparedness experience is not about the facility alone, but the combination of:

  • A site to see – where the solution is working in practice
  • A politician or public official who explains the decisions and policies that made it possible
  • A private actor who delivered the technology or service

As part of this theme, visitors will learn about NODE60, Romerike’ s emerging innovation district, and how it uses collaboration across sectors to connect people, projects and places. NODE60 shows how an innovation district can become a practical framework for developing, testing and scaling sustainable solutions.

Through these interactions, delegations gain insight into how the region think about organising and implementing security and preparedness across interconnected systems – including critical infrastructure, digital ecosystems and health resilience.

A key element is the active role of industry. Companies contribute not only with technology, but with capabilities, infrastructure and decision-making capacity that are essential in both preparedness and crisis response. This highlights how effective resilience depends on coordination across sectors, built on trust, shared understanding and tested collaboration.

By bringing together actors facing related challenges, visits are designed to foster meaningful exchange and, where relevant, open pathways for continued collaboration.

Target Group

This visit is designed for international policymakers, security authorities, emergency preparedness actors, researchers, and industry leaders working with critical infrastructure, digital security and societal resilience. It is ideal for delegations seeking to understand how cross-sector collaboration strengthens preparedness and enables effective response in complex and interconnected systems.
