As part of Cleancon II, Sweco has developed a tool for planning emission-free construction and civil engineering sites.
The tool is Excel-based and can be used by contractors and procurement officers to plan emission-free construction sites.

Based on a number of inputs, such as emission targets, working hours, machine requirements, and available grid capacity, the user receives answers regarding which machines should be switched to electric for the lowest possible additional cost, whether battery storage or other storage technologies will be required, and how machine charging should be optimized.
The file contains three tabs:
- Readme, which describes how the tool should be used and its limitations
- Dashboard, which contains inputs and main outputs
- Detailed results, which contains further outputs and allows the user to adjust assumptions
