This Privacy Statement describes how Kunnskapsbyen Lillestrøm collects and uses personal information. Personal integrity is important and we take your right to privacy seriously.

The City of Knowledge, by the CEO, is the controller for the company's processing of personal data. Where day-to-day responsibility is delegated, it emerges under each individual point. The web editors are responsible daily for Kunnskapsbyen's processing of personal data on our website www.kundskapsbyen.no, unless otherwise stated below. It is voluntary for those who visit the websites to provide personal data, and this is only done in connection with services such as receiving newsletters. The basis for processing is the consent of the individual, unless otherwise specified.
Kunnskapsbyen Lillestrøm is a member organisation and a community actor that, through its role as a network and project owner, contributes to innovation and growth in interaction with knowledge institutions, business and municipalities. This means that we process personal data in order to perform our tasks. The legal bases of the GDPR, which are primarily relevant to Kunnskapsbyen's personal data, are legitimate interest and possibly agreements with data subjects and members. The City of Knowledge stores the personal data in a separate database, the data is not shared with others and is deleted when you cancel. You can withdraw your consent for the retention of your contact details at any time. Kundskapsbyen Lillestrøm will then delete your contact information from our systems.
Vodacom is Knowledge City's data processor. Information collected in connection with the operation of the website is stored on its own servers operated by the provider. Only the City of Knowledge and the Data Processor (with subcontractors) have access to the data collected. A separate data processing agreement between the City of Knowledge and Vodacom governs what information they have access to and how it should be processed.
What data is collected?

The Knowledge City website is created with the Webflow publishing tool, As website operators, Webflow.com collects non-personally identifying information that browsers and servers typically make available, such as browser type, language preference, referral site, and the date and time of each visit request. We use the analytics tool Google Analytics on our websites, these place cookies on your machine. These begin gtag.js, analytics.js, and ga.js. Information from this tool is not disclosed from the City of Knowledge to other actors.

2. Facebook Conversation Tracking Pixel
A Facebook Pixel anonymously tracks who has visited the website and which pages they have visited. This tracking is used to provide relevant marketing on Facebook channels. The capsule lasts for 180 days and no personally identifying information is collected or tracked. Users can even control advertising displayed in Facebook by adjusting their personal settings on Facebook. LinkedIn tracking, through LinkedIn Insight Tag, is a tool that collects data about visitors to a website. This allows advertisers to measure the impact of LinkedIn ads, target ads to specific audiences and gain insight into who is visiting the website.
Insight Tag collects the following data about visitors:
URL: Which pages they visit.
Referrer: Where they came from.
IP address: IP addresses are shortened or hashed to protect privacy
Device and browser properties: The type of device and browser they use.
Timestamp: When they visited the page.
Data collected is pseudonymized within seven days. The data will be deleted within 180 days. Users can control how their data is used for advertising through settings on LinkedIn. Visitors browsing in private mode on LinkedIn will not reveal their name to the profile owner.

3. Browse
The Knowledge City stores information about which keywords users use in the search fields on the website. The purpose of storage is to improve our information offering. The usage pattern of searches is stored in a separate database, and they are stored only in aggregated form. Only the keywords are stored, and they cannot be linked to other information about the users, such as IP addresses.
4. Newsletter and contact form
On the website you can choose to subscribe to newsletters from Kunnskapsbyen. We process your personal data in order to contact you, inform you or seek appropriate audiences for our activities. In order for us to send you newsletters, you must at least register your name, business and email address. The data is stored in a separate database, is not shared with others and is deleted when you cancel.

5. Registration for courses
On the website you can register for courses by providing your name, contact information and employer. In addition, we ask you to provide information about any allergies and the need for accommodation. Personal data we receive when registering for courses is not used for purposes other than administering the course and any reporting. Unless you have given explicit consent otherwise, your personal data will be deleted after the purpose ceases.
Your rights
- Right to transparency
Anyone who requests it has the right to obtain basic information about the processing of personal data in a business under section 18, paragraph 1 of the Personal Data Act. The City of Knowledge has provided this information in this Privacy Policy, and will refer to it in case of any requests. Anyone registered in the City of Knowledge's computer systems has the right to access their own information.
- Requirement for rectification or deletion of incomplete or incorrect information
Pursuant to Section 27 of the Personal Data Act, the data subject has the right to request that incorrect, incomplete or information Kunnskapsbyen Lillestrøm does not have the right to process be corrected, deleted or supplemented. Claims from the data subject must be answered free of charge and no later than within 30 days.
- Deletion of personal data
