Ethical guidelines and values for Kunnskapsbyen Lillestrøm
The Code of Ethics shall describe the culture of the organisation Kunnskapsbyen Lillestrøm (KL) and shall be a guide in its daily work.
KL's operations shall be characterized by integrity in relation to members, customers and suppliers and other partners. Credibility and security are important values.

Members
Kunnskapsbyen Lillestrøm is a business development association founded on a unique partnership between private and public enterprises, including municipalities, educational and research institutions.
Purpose
The business development association Kunnskapsbyen Lillestrøm is a non-commercial player. We create a common force for forward-looking and sustainable industrial growth by developing, promoting and bringing together the business community at Romerike. Knowledge City Lillestrøm represents the entire ecosystem from entrepreneurs to established businesses, and is a bridge builder between business, research, education and municipalities.
Sustainability
In order to provide venues for healthy and good social and business development, Kunnskapsbyen Lillestrøm places the concept of sustainability at the heart of our strategies. Sustainability has always been central to Knowledge City's activities. Which of the UN's sustainability goals we prioritise and how we work towards them is updated at all times on our website.
KL and its members
KL will promote value creation and development in members' businesses. It implies that we:
- helps to build good long-term relationships
- Contributes with qualified knowledge within our disciplines
- align the interests and desires of the members in relation to each other
- is the joint voice of the members in industrial policy matters
KL and the community
The City of Knowledge wants to contribute to the development of society by:
- actively work to promote the City of Knowledge and its members locally, regionally and nationally in a serious and professional manner so that it gives confidence and legitimacy to public opinion
- help focus on increasing local, regional and national value creation for the benefit of community development
- ensure bridge-building between institutions in R&D, business, and public authorities.
Customers/suppliers/partners
The City of Knowledge wants to have a cooperation based on the following principles:
- Integrity, professionalism and reliability.
- Deliver results at agreed quality, time and price.
- Make ethical demands on those with whom we enter into agreements.
- Refuse gifts from suppliers to the extent that it may affect decisions.

KL's employees should be a team of professional, professionally skilled employees with high integrity. This means that all employees:
