Chairperson Siri Berggreen informed the annual general meeting that all indicators are pointing upwards for Kunnskapsbyen.
Kunnskapsbyen is making strong progress, both in terms of new members, networks, projects, and activities.
Support for Kunnskapsbyen has never been higher than in 2025, said Chairperson Siri Berggreen, who presided over an annual general meeting marked by applause and laughter.
She also presented a positive financial development, forming the basis for continued solid growth for the networks within Kunnskapsbyen. CEO Inger-Lise M. Nøstvik expressed her gratitude to the member companies.
"It's touching to see the strong will and infectious enthusiasm among our members to uplift the region together. Together, we have managed to develop a winning culture that is incredibly inspiring to be a part of, she says.
The New Board
Siri Berggreen (Romerike Sparebank) was re-elected as Chairperson. Espen Fossum (Akershus Energi) and Ronny Engebretsen (ØIE Eiendomsutvikling) have joined her as new board members.
The other board members, who continue in their roles, are Siw-Hege Adriansen Gundersen (IFE), Bodil Løkken Bendiksen (Norasonde), Ine Foss (Kvikkere Hoder Rekruttering), Marianne Aasen (OsloMet), Eivind Glemmestad (Rælingen kommune), and Geir Samuelsen (Justervesenet).
All elections were unanimous.
NORSAR Monitors Peace
Birger Steen, CEO of the NORSAR research foundation, gave an incredibly captivating lecture on technology for peace and preparedness. He spoke about NORSAR's origins and its responsibility to monitor compliance with the Comprehensive Nuclear-Test-Ban Treaty.
NORSAR's global "listening network" also has a range of other applications. Researchers can use it to pinpoint and describe all types of tremors, whether they are explosions, earthquakes, or other powerful vibrations in the Earth's crust.
Ukraine's Entrepreneurial Power
Steen also spoke about Ukraine, which is leading the way towards a decentralized, data-driven, risk-tolerant future. The country's Minister of Digital Transformation, Mykhailo Fedorov, has the stated goal of making Ukraine the world's most digitized nation. Entrepreneurship has become the country's new specialty.
Innovation has become the foremost weapon against Russia's superior military power. The country has become a laboratory for innovation – and has taken on the role of David in the fight against Goliath.
Through the state program BRAVE1, 1000 startups are now linked to Ukraine's defense sector. After being in a continuous war against Russia for over four years, the country has developed into a major power in drone technology development.
Digital community for entrepreneurs
Ylonka Kaupang spoke about her brand new entrepreneurial venture – a digital sales school and community for entrepreneurs and salespeople. She is overwhelmed by the great feedback she has received – not least from entrepreneurs who say they have now regained their self-confidence.
Within one week, 25 people have already signed up for membership. She has also secured partnership agreements with a business lawyer and a business photographer.
Around fifty people from the member companies attended the annual meeting, dinner, and socializing into the evening.
