The technology company Eidel, which specializes in space, defense, and securing critical infrastructure, is a key player within the GOIN Network for Security and Preparedness.

The network consists of regional actors who have developed technology, expertise, and capacity directly relevant to national and local preparedness. Company visits, such as the one to Eidel, better equip the network to contribute when new security challenges arise.

At Eidel, partners received an introduction to the company's advanced work in space, defense, and securing critical infrastructure. Participants also received a tour of the company's new, specially adapted premises in Lillestrøm.

Collaboration for Preparedness

The network, led by Kunnskapsbyen, has ten highly competent partners – and is growing. By meeting at each other's locations – in operational environments – they showcase their unique capabilities as test facilities, technical environments, and operational solutions.

"Unfortunately, security and preparedness have become far more relevant than many of us would wish. It is therefore good to see that we have highly competent professional communities and businesses in our region that can help secure Norwegian solutions in a turbulent world," says project manager Jon Eriksen at Kunnskapsbyen.

Morten Verling Ertsaas, founder and CEO of Vane Ocean Technologies, spoke about the company's unmanned vessels.

Unmanned Technology

An important goal of the partner visits is to identify new collaboration opportunities and joint projects that can enhance overall preparedness.

In addition to getting to know each other better, company visits also highlight the facilities that are actually available.

The visit to Eidel also highlighted Vane Ocean Technologies. The company has developed cost-effective, unmanned solutions for energy-intensive operations far offshore.
