The Arrangements Committee for the Public Health Conference welcomes input in the following six areas:
- Work and Inclusion — New Pathways to Participation and Mastery
A health-promoting working life offers opportunities for participation, mastery and belonging. We want contributions that show how education, working life, integration, health and volunteering can be linked in new ways. Examples could be cross-sector collaborations, initiatives to get people back to work after illness, or projects that promote participation, activity and belonging.
- Local environment and site development — community and safety in the local community
Neighborhoods and local environments affect well-being, quality of life and health. We invite contributions that show how citizens, volunteers, municipalities and the business community together can develop health-promoting neighborhoods and living environments. This can include collaborative projects that create safe and inclusive local environments with spaces for social community, joy of movement, natural and cultural experiences — and that build sustainable, vibrant communities for people of all ages.
- Systematic public health work — knowledge, tools and practices
Public health work needs structure, long-term focus and a good knowledge base. We want contributions that show how knowledge is translated into action, how public health work is organised for the best possible effect, and how partnerships and tools can strengthen work locally, regionally and nationally.
- Children's and young people's lives and mental health — participation, pressure and faith in the future
Children and young people grow up in a changing society, where social, cultural and digital factors influence identity, interaction and mental health. We want contributions that show how we can create safe environments with good participation and faith in the future. Examples include work with life management, digital competence, inclusion and the joy of movement, preferably developed together with children and young people. There is also the possibility of contributions describing the challenge picture.
- Industry, Technology, Innovation and Politics — Health, Society and Value Creation
How do business and current technology developments affect public health work? Can collaboration and interdisciplinary efforts, established companies and entrepreneurs, research communities and the public instrument apparatus contribute to positive development, new products and technical solutions? In what areas are there challenges? We welcome contributions that explore these conditions, highlight examples and point the direction for future opportunities.
- Security, preparedness and community in a changing world
War, crime, climate change, the spread of infectious diseases, digitization and misinformation create uncertainty and affect trust and community. We want contributions that show what society and all of us can do to reduce uncertainty and create trust and community?
