The establishment of a campus in Lillestrøm opens up new opportunities for the entire Romerike region.

Community-minded business leaders, research stakeholders, and public sector leaders flocked to the dialogue meeting with OsloMet, held at Tellus.

An excited buzz filled the air among the attendees, awaiting the latest news about Campus Romerike, as OsloMet, Lillestrøm Municipality, and Kunnskapsbyen hosted a gathering on "The Road to Lillestrøm."

Against the backdrop of the increasing need for health and care services, there is an urgent need to develop new technological solutions for these services. OsloMet's institute leaders presented their academic communities and suggested concrete areas for collaboration.

A number of meeting participants also provided input on the development plans, expressing a desire for close collaboration with the new campus management.

"We have embarked on an exciting journey. An expanded campus will strengthen the connection between education, research, and business, and provide us with a unique opportunity to foster a vibrant knowledge environment where ideas and innovation can flourish," says Inger-Lise M. Nøstvik, CEO of Kunnskapsbyen.

The dialogue bodes well for fruitful regional development going forward, both for the students and academic communities at OsloMet, for the municipalities, and – not least – for all residents in the region.
