Innovative Procurement/Find Solutions

Through innovative procurement, the public sector has great opportunities to contribute to the green shift. In an innovative procurement, one engages in dialogue with the market before the acquisition, communicates the need and leaves the solution to the suppliers (see figure below).

The Supplier Development Program (LUP) has gathered solutions that have been created through innovative procurement here: LUP's Knowledge Bank “Find Solutions”.

Several public developers stand together and set requirements for emission-free building and construction sites. In order to realize this, a development course and dialogue must be facilitated between public sector entities that sit on the needs and market players who sit on the solutions.

Detailed information on anchoring, organisation, practical facilitation and risk management Innovative procurement can be found on DfE's website. There is also much to learn from the work the Supplier Development Programme (LUP) has done on Emission free construction and construction sites.
